Government committed to the mission of providing houses to all by 2022: PM Modi

The houses that are being under the mission have toilets, power supply under the Saubhagya mission and LED bulbs under the Ujala scheme of the government.

He praised former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his developmental works in Lucknow as its member of Parliament and said that the government is committed to take it forward.
The government is committed to provide houses to everyone by 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at the 3rd anniversary event of PMAY(U), Amrut & Smart Cities Mission.

"We will give 'pakka makaan' to people who are poor & homeless," Modi said during the event.

Prime Minister Modi said that under the mission the government has distributed 54 lakh houses in urban areas and over a crore houses in villages.


The houses that are being built under the mission have toilets, power supply under the Saubhagya mission and LED bulbs under the Ujala scheme of the government.

He said that good governance is changing the lives of people.

He praised former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for his developmental works in Lucknow as its member of Parliament and said that the government is committed to take it forward.

He also prayed for the early recovery of the ailing former Prime Minister who is admitted in AIIMS following a sudden deterioration of his health.
