GoM tried to do an honest job on Telangana: Jairam Ramesh
Union minister Jairam Ramesh said the Group of Ministers (GoM) tried to do an "honest job" and its report should be seen in its totality.

"Now, the ball is in the President's court and in the court of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The GoM has tried to do an honest job of taking everybody's concerns on board," Ramesh told PTI after the Cabinet meeting, which gave a go-ahead for the creation of a 10-district Telangana.
"The GoM report should be seen in its totality... not in isolated bits and pieces," he said without elaborating.
Dropping a controversial move to add two districts of Rayalaseema to Telangana, which was opposed by various stakeholders, the Cabinet, presided over by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, approved a draft reorganisation bill based on recommendations of the GoM.
