Gokul Chandra Pati appointed Secretary Department of Defence Production

NEW DELHI: Senior IAS officer Gokul Chandra Pati has been appointed as Secretary in Department of Defence Production.

Pati, a 1978 batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre, is presently Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.

The vacancy has necessitated after R K Mathur, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre, was appointed as Defence Secretary.

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Anup Kumar Thakur as Secretary in Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, in place of Pati.

Thakur, a 1979 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is presently working as Special Secretary in the same department.
