Rahul’s election meetings at all the three places—Araria, Amour (Purnia) and Korha (Katihar) — drew impressive crowd on Monday. It was significant for the Congress in view of the 10 seats, out of total 41, allotted to it by Grand Alliance in the Seemanchal region.
This region comprising four districts— Araria, Purnia, Katihar and Kishanganj—has high Muslim population. It has 24 seats that will go to the polls on November 5. This fifth phase will cover 57 constituency.
Rahul tried to project his party as a strong partner in the Alliance, saying: "Congress has vast experience, It possesses energy and knowledge. It will dedicate its full energy for the development of Bihar. It will extend all help to Nitish Kumar."
