Goa renames young entrepreneurial scheme after Verghese Kurien
Goa government announced rechristening of the Chief Minister's Rojgar Yojna (CMRY) after the "Father of the White Revolution", late Dr Verghese Kurien.

CMRY, the flagship scheme of the state government, is aimed at providing financial assistance to unemployed youths to set up business.
"I announce here that the scheme would be named after Kurien who created several self-employed people through white revolution," Parrikar announced on the floor of the House while presenting the annual budget for year 2013-14.
Parrikar said the state government has earmarked Rs 15 crore for CMRY, which is expected to cover 8,000 youths in fiscal 2013-14.
The chief minister also announced formation of Task Force within a week with the purpose of drafting the state investment policy, to be unveiled by May 30.
