Goa police to form special security squad for Lusofonia Games
Goa police will form a special security squad for the upcoming Lusofonia Games.

Around 3,000 personnel will be attached to the squad which will look after the security arrangement for these Portuguese Commonwealth Games, Superintendent of Police Vijay Singh said.
The policemen, usually deployed to maintain law and order, are now being trained in various skills including frisking, firing practice and improved behavioural attitude, Singh said.
In addition to Goa police, the games would be guarded by 25 companies of Central Paramilitary forces, he said.
The ten-day-long event would be held in November this year in which various countries, including India, would participate.
All venues would be closely guarded by the trained personnel, Singh said.
"There will be security in-charge for the athletes and also for media at the airport and hotels where they stay," the SP added.
The opening and closing ceremony is likely to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda in South Goa, near Margao city.
