Goa: Congress to be more aggressive against BJP in 2016
PANAJI: Heralding a countdown for 2017 Goa Assembly elections, the Congress party today announced their New Year resolution of going more aggressive against the BJP-led state government.

"In 2016, the party will be more aggressive against the current state government exposing them on their U-turns," Goa Congress spokesman Yatish Naik told reporters today.

He said people would be made aware about the election promises made by the BJP during 2012 Assembly polls and how it back stabbed the voters after gaining the power.

Naik said BJP reneged on some of the prominent issues like regional plan and special status which were promised to the electorate while facing the polls.

"People now feel betrayed by the BJP...their mandate has been betrayed," Naik stated.

He said Congress will now agitate on the streets to expose the BJP.
