He said that the service tax increase suggested in the Union budget will impact the people.
"I will have to alter my budget, so as to reduce the inflationary trend, set by the Central budget," Parrikar said.
The chief minister will be presenting his first ever budget of the current tenure on March 21, which has assured to lower the prices of essential commodities in the state.
BJP-led government has already announced exemption of VAT on petrol, which will cut down the prices of petrol by almost Rs 11.
Parrikar said that he had given final touches to the budget, which will be going for printing on Saturday.
"Now, I will have to rework the state budget," he said, adding that the impact of the Union budget will be reduced on the citizens of Goa.
"There are some things, which are not in my hand but, still all attempts are made to ensure that the Central budget does not affect the local population," he said.
