GM of Northeast Frontier Railway HK Jaggi meets CM Sarbananda Sonowal

GUWAHATI: General Manager of Northeast Frontier Railway & N.F. Railway Construction Organization, HK Jaggi met assam Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal.

They discussed various railway projects in Assam including Lumding – Silchar gauge conversion, doubling of railway line between Guwahati and Dibrugarh Town and new Coaching Terminal at Agyathori.

The General Manager apprised the Chief Minister about the ongoing projects in Assam.

Jaggi apprised the Chief Minister that survey work of double tracking between Lumding-Dibrugarh section has already been undertaken and the project will be launched on a fast-track basis.

Jaggi also informed Sonowal that several plans are on the anvil to decongest Guwahati Railway Station by upgrading railway infrastructure.
