Glorifying raids in Kashmir to further repel tourists: J&K minister
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir cabinet minister and senior PDP leader Altaf Bukhari has cautioned against glorifying National Investigation Agency raids conducted in Kashmir, saying this will further impact tourism adversely in the Valley.

Even as the NIA raids continued against a few second-rung Hurriyat leaders in Srinagar and at one place in Jammu, the minister accused Delhi and Noida based TV channels of being on a mission to burn Kashmir for TRPs (television rating points).

“NIA and ED do their work across the country and conduct raids everywhere. But these channels create euphoria around a routine exercise when it comes to Kashmir. It further repels tourists, who think only raids are going on across the state,” Bukhari told ET.
