Give the NDA government some time to deal with inflation: Manmohan Singh
Manmohan Singh on Sunday termed the recovery of bugging devices from Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s house 'as unfortunate'.

"It’s very unfortunate. I hope whatver is reported is not true. It should be investigated. How can it happen? It should be explained by the government in the House," Singh told reporters on the sidelines of an Iftar Party hosted by Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
A media report has claimed that high power listening devices were found in the bed room at the 13 Teen Murti Lane residence here of Gadkari. But, Gadkari dubbed the report as "highly speculative".
On the issue of inflation, Singh felt the new NDA government must be given some more time to deal with it.
On Justice Katju’s charge, Singh said he has nothing to add to what former Law Minister H R Bharadwaj had said on the issue. Sonia Gandhi’s Iftar party, coinciding with RJD-JD(U)-Congress-NCP poll pact in Bihar, was attended by Lalu Prasad, Sharad Yadav and Tariq Anwar, and other senior Congress leaders.
On his part Rahul Gandhi hailed the Uttarakhand Congres for winnig three Assembly seats in the by-poll.
