BERLIN: Leading Indian economist and Nobel laureate Amartya Sen will be awarded Germany's Meister Eckhart Prize for his work on human development theory, the country's Identity Foundation said on Thursday. “The unusual merging of economic and philosophical enquiry which graces his work leads to the acknowledgement that identity is not merely a personal question, which every individual should pose himself, but a worldwide quest, the official said.
