Gazetteers of Maharashtra to soon be available on mobile apps

THANE: The gazetteers of Maharashtra will soon be available on mobile apps, an official has said.

To begin with, ten state and district gazetteers would be made available on mobile apps, Dr Dilip Balsekar, the executive editor and secretary ( in-charge), Gazetteers Department of Maharashtra government said last night.

The department would soon come out with a gazetteer on the fairs and festivals of the state, he said.

From time to time, the department would also come out with gazetteers on different subjects. The district gazetteers would be published next year, he said on the sidelines of a function here

He said that an e-book of the gazetteers would also be published in a phased manner for the state and districts.
