Home Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh today used a jocular expression while speaking in the Lok Sabha during the debate on the no-confidence motion against the NDA government.

He used the folk expression , "gayee bhains paani main," which roughly means things have gone out of hand.

Rajnath Singh said this while speaking about the opposition parties who are trying to form a coalition against the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections next year. Rajnath Singh said the oppositions parties which have got together to bring the no-confidence motion against the NDA government have no confidence in one another. He said if they had to decide a leader then the whole coalition would fall apart.

This is what Rajnath Singh said: "Main dekh raha hun ki jin rajneetik daalon ne humari sarkar ke khilaaf avishwaas prastav laane ki koshish ki hai unka bhi ek doosre ke upar vishwas nahi hai. Agar netritva ki charcha ho jaaye toh samajh lijiye ki 'gayee bhains paani mein' aise halaat yahan paida ho jaayenge."
