Garnering votes by inflaming emotions affects unity of society, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has said. Delivering his traditional Vijayadashami address in Nagpur, the RSS chief said people should remember the unity, integrity, identity and development of the country when voting for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

Bhagwat alleged Manipur's ethnic conflict was triggered by 'external forces', 'cultural Marxists' and 'woke elements' who were 'polluting' India's education and culture.

"Attempts to harvest votes by inflaming emotions are not desirable, but they keep happening. Let us avoid these things, as they hurt the unity of society. To cast a vote is the duty of every citizen. Cast your vote keeping in mind the vital issues of unity, integrity, identity and development of the country," Bhagwat said.

"Sections of society will have to shed sense of victimhood, stop looking at each other with suspicion and avoid manoeuvres fominance," he said.
