NEW DELHI: A consortium of seven IITs has submitted a report on Ganga River Basin Management Plan -- 2015, the government told Lok Sabha today.

The consortium was entrusted with the task of finalising holistic Ganga River Basin Management.

In his written reply, Minister of State for Water Resources Sanwar Lal Jat said that the report on "Ganga River Basin Management Plan -- 2015" has been prepared and submitted by the seven IITs.

Responding to another question, the Minister said that a proposal for inclusion of Bargi diversion project under the scheme of National Projects is under consideration.

It is proposed to set up a National Bureau of Water Use Efficiency to promote and regulate efficient use of water in irrigation, industrial and domestic sectors, he said replying to another question.
