Gandhi’s dream of ‘gram swaraj’ will be implemented on ground, says J&K LG Manoj Sinha

Meanwhile, India’s top medical education regulator, MCI, said that any qualification obtained from medical colleges located in Pakistan-occupied J&K and Ladakh “shall not entitle a person to practice modern medicine in India”.

Srinagar: J&K LG Manoj Sinha said PM Modi was committed to fast-tracking development in the UT without any discrimination. He said politics was not his immediate priority. In his first public address as LG, Sinha said Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of “gram swaraj” would be implemented on the ground.

“Waves of democracy would swiftly rush through J&K soon and the region will join the national mainstream,” he said. Meanwhile, India’s top medical education regulator, MCI, said that any qualification obtained from medical colleges located in Pakistan-occupied J&K and Ladakh “shall not entitle a person to practice modern medicine in India”.
