NEW DELHI: Congress on Sunday launched a nationwide ‘Speak Up For democracydigital campaign against “BJP’s toppling bid in Rajasthan”. It will be followed by party activists holding dharna outside Raj Bhavans across states on Monday.

All important Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, participated in the campaign. The Gandhi siblings rallying behind the Gehlot government, AICC functionaries said, was meant to trash the Pilot camp’s claims of him being still engaged with them.

Gandhi posted on Twitter a video with the caption “Let’s unite in #SpeakUpForDemocracy. In the video, Congress accused BJP of “ripping up constitution”, “demolishing democracy” and “murdering democracy in Rajasthan”. Priyanka tweeted: “In Corona’s national crisis, the country needs a leadership that works in the public interest. But the BJP government at the Centre has made its intention and its character clear by trying to topple the governments elected by the people. The public will answer.”
