Gadkari who has been inducted into the cabinet of PM as Transport and Shipping minister, has been a MLC since 1989.

Gadkari to attend Maharashtra assembly session as MLC for last time
NAGPUR: Union Minister for Transport and Shipping Nitin Gadkari who is a Member of Maharashtra Legislative Council, will attend the ongoing session of the state Legislature in Mumbai, in his capacity as a MLC for the last time.

"Yes I will attend the last session of my tenure as MLC representing the Graduates Constituency and will meet my member-colleagues," Gadkari told reporters here today.

Gadkari who has been elected as MP from Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency and subsequently inducted into the cabinet of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as Transport and Shipping minister, has been a MLC since 1989.

"I wish to meet and extend sincere thanks to all my party colleagues, Legislature officials and media in Mumbai," he said.
