Fresh quake of mild intensity felt in Dhenkanal

BHUBANESWAR: A fresh earthquake of mild intensity was today experienced in Odisha's Dhenkanal district, after the area was shook by similar tremors two days ago.

"A microearthquake of slight intensity having its magnitude 2.4 on the Richter scale occurred at 19 hours 12 minutes IST on 28th September, 2015 with its epicentre at about 35 km North-Northwest of Seismological Observatory Bhubaneswar in Dhenkanal District of Odisha," a preliminary earthquake report of IMD said.

No report of any casualty or damage to properties due to today's quake, a spokesman of special relief commissioners office said.

Two mild tremors of magnitude 3.2 and 2.8 on the Richter scale were felt in Dhenkanal district on Saturday.
