French Navy Chief Admiral Bernard Rogel to arrive in India on a four-day visit

Rogel will hold meetings with top Naval officials here and would visit the Naval facilities in Goa on November 15 and also go to the Naval War College.

NEW DELHI: French Navy Chief Admiral Bernard Rogel will arrive here tomorrow on a four-day visit during which he will travel to Indian naval facilities in Goa and Mumbai, besides visiting the Mazagon Dock Limited which is building six Scorpene submaries with help of a French firm.

Rogel will hold meetings with top Naval officials here and would visit the Naval facilities in Goa on November 15 and also go to the Naval War College.

He will travel to Mumbai on November 17 and visit the Mazagon Dock Limited (MDL), besides other establishments.

Six state-of-the-art submarines fitted with latest equipment are being built at MDL, Mumbai, under collaboration with DCNS France.

The first submarine is expected to be launched in September 2015.
