Fifty per cent concession for women in state roadways bus fares and one kg ghee for kids are part of the manifesto. Talking about the attention his government has paid to the welfare of women Akhilesh jokingly said, " we had promised poor women sarees in our earlier manifesto but knowing that women are choosy we replaced that with samajwadi pensions..that will continue..," the CM said.
His wife Dimple Yadav was present on the stage.
"We will be giving Rs 1000 as pension to 1 crore people. Poor people will be given free wheat and rice," Akhilesh Yadav said.

Metro rail connectivity in kanpur, agra and Varanasi has been promised. Akhilesh also added that a special plan and policies for farmers along with a Kisan Kosh (treasury) will be initiated for the farmers.
Akhilesh Yadav also said BJP has nothing to talk about development. “They sometimes give you ‘jhadu’ (broom) or ask you to perform yoga.’’Taking on the BSP he said ‘patthar wali sarkar’ has done nothing for UP but for erecting stone statues of elephants, its poll symbol.
