The formalisation of the Front comes after the preparatory conclave of the leaders of these outfits on February 15 this year.

Four small political parties in Uttar Pradesh float a new Front
ALIGARH: Four political outfits in Uttar Pradesh today joined hands to form the UP Ittehad Front in run up to the 2017 Assembly elections.

Spokesperson for the new front who is also National President of the Parcham Party, Saleem Peerzada said that four constituents are Indian National League, Rashtriya Ulema Council, Welfare Party of India and his own Parcham Party.

The formalisation of the Front comes after the preparatory conclave of the leaders of these outfits on February 15 this year.

Those merger meeting was attended by National President of the Indian National League, Mohammad Sulaiman; National President of the Rashtriya Ulema Council, Maulana Amir Rashadi Madani and National President of the Welfare Party of India, Dr Qasim Rasool.

Peerzada said the main objective of this Front would be to "create a political platform" not only in UP but across India to consolidate all political forces who are ready to work for "all underprivileged sections" including dalits, adivasis and minorities.
