KOLKATA: Four Air India flights from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International airport here were cancelled today as the pilots did not report for duty.

Airline officials said the pilots reported sick, leading to cancellation of flights scheduled to leave at 7am, 9.45 am and 11am for Delhi, Agra and Aizawl respectively.

Air India also cancelled its Kolkata-Jaipur-Ahmedabad flight which was scheduled to take off at 3.45 pm from here today.

Other 11 AI flights, however, took off from the airport till noon, sources said.

An agitation has been called by executive pilots of the national airlines to protest reduction in their productivity-linked incentives (PLIs).
