Former team Anna member Akhil Gogoi to launch jail bharo programmes against Land Bill

Former Team Anna member and peasant leader Akhil Gogoi announced the launch of new political outfit on Friday. However despite the presence noted Gandhian leader, Anna Hazare was in dark about the Akhil's decision to form political party “Gana Mukti Sangram Asom.“ Akhil along with Anna had decried Arvind kejriwal when he launched Aam Admi Party (AAP) by Kejriwal in 2013. Akhil has graduated from RTI activist to promi nent agitationists for the years.

Akhil while addressing from Diroi Rangoli in Moran of Sivasagar district during the KMSS fourth biennial session said sought people support to change the port to change the government.

"Our aim is not election but struggle for the betterment of people.Provide food those who are producing it and not getting it."

Anna in the session said, “People ask me if Akhil will join politics, I say no way. I have confidence he will not join politics. Why will he fight election for at best he can be an MLA or MP but being here he can fight for masses. It is better to go to jail for the cause of masses than to go to parliament. “Anna launched tirade against that land acquisition bill terming it as anti-farmer. He said he will oppose the same by launching jail bharo programmes across the country.“Accha din promised new government came only for big corporate and industrialists and not for common man.“
