He was 85. Following a complaint of chest pain, Nayak was rushed to a local hospital in Raisingh Nagar where doctors declared him dead on arrival last night, his son Daulatraj Nayak said.
He is survived by five sons and six daughters. His wife had passed away earlier.
Nayak's last rites were performed in Raisingh Nagar and attended by Union Minister of State Nihal Chand, who offered a floral tribute to the veteran politician.
Dula Ram began his political career in 1965 as a Councillor and was elected as a Congress MLA in 1977. He was Social Justice and Tribal Development Minister in 1980.
Later Nayak quit Congress and joined the National Congress Party (NCP) months before the 2013 assembly elections in Rajasthan.
Meanwhile, PCC President Sachin Pilot condoled the death of Duliram.
"His death is a loss to the party and the community. He worked for the development and upliftment of people," Pilot said in a statement.
