Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi remembered

PUDUCHERRY: Chief Minister N.Rangasamy led the Union Territory of Puducherry in paying homage to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi on the occasion of her 29th death anniversary today.

Rangasamy garlanded the statue of the late leader at Ellaipillaichavady junction. Speaker V Sabapathy, Ministers, legislators of the ruling AINRC, officials, freedom fighters and representatives of various organisations were among those who paid homage.

Puducherry Congress committee president A V Subramanian and a host of functionaries of the party, the Leader of the opposition in the Assembly V Vaithilingam, legislators and freedom fighters paid tributes at the portrait of Indira Gandhi.
