NEW DELHI: Former President Pratibha Patil's brother has been named as an accused in the 2005 Jalgaon murder case.

Patil's younger brother Gajendra Narayan Patil and former MLA Dr Ulhas Patil have been named accused in the criminal case.

English professor VG Patil was killed in September 2005 in Maharashtra.

The wife of the professor claims that the former President's brother was the mastermind.

In a major embarrassment for former President Pratibha Patil, her brother has been named in a 2005 murder case.
