NEW DELHI: The condition of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who was admitted to AIIMS in New Delhi after he complained of giddiness, is stable and he will be discharged on Thursday.

The condition of the 83-year-old BJP leader is "stable and satisfactory", AIIMS spokesperson Shakti Gupta said in a release on Wednesday.

Vajpayee had his morning breakfast and his vital signs are normal, the release said.

"He will be kept in hospital for one more day to complete all investigations," the release said.

Vajpayee was admitted to a private ward in the Cardio-Thoracic and Neuro-Sciences Centre of AIIMS after he complained of drowsiness and giddiness on Tuesday.

A team of doctors, including a cardiologist and neurologist, are looking after him.
