Former Noida authority engineer Yadav Singh gave tenders worth Rs 4,200 crore
According to report, Singh awarded water department tenders worth Rs 1,117 crore and electrical tenders worth Rs 1,224 as from 2007 to 2012.

These are the highlights of a 2000-page report compiled by the Noida authority and sent to the income tax department. It contains details of the tenders awarded by Singh, who for a while held charge as engineer-in-chief of the Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway Authorities as well.
According to the summary of the report accessed by TOI, Singh awarded a total of 3,029 civil tenders between 2007 and 2012. The maximum number was in the 2011-12 fiscal. Following assembly elections, the Samajwadi Party government assumed office in March 2012.
Singh was suspended in June 2012 after being named in a Rs 954-crore contract scam and accused of embezzlement in the execution of infrastructure projects. But he returned as chief engineer of all three authorities last month. He finally got the sack end-November after I-T raids on him and a company by the name of Meenu Creation in which his wife Kusum Lata is a director. Taxmen found Rs 12 crore in an SUV parked outside Singh's home in Noida, besides diamond-studded gold jewellery worth crores.
According to the Noida authority report, Singh awarded water department tenders worth Rs 1,117 crore and electrical tenders worth Rs 1,224 as chief maintenance engineer from 2007 to 2012.
He also handed out civil department tenders worth Rs 1,641 crore between 2002 and 2014. Of those, tenders worth Rs 735 crore were given from June 23 this year till his removal, when he served as engineer-in-chief of the Noida Authority, and later, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities as well, the report adds. He also awarded tenders of the horticulture department worth Rs 157 core. The total number of civil tenders he gave during this period were 533.
