Former MP from Chandauli resigned from BSP

“I resigned from the primary membership of the party today. I was not happy with the current functioning of the BSP. There is disappointment among the BSP workers at ground level,” BSP leader Kailashnath Yadav told ET on phone.

NEW DELHI: Former MP from Chandauli and senior BSP leader Kailashnath Yadav on Tuesday resigned from his party.

Kailashnath Yadav was elected to the Lok Sabha from Chandauli seat in 2004. In 2014 LS polls, he contested from Ghazipur seat as BSP nominee. However, he could not win.

“I resigned from the primary membership of the party today. I was not happy with the current functioning of the BSP. There is disappointment among the BSP workers at ground level,” Yadav told ET on phone.


However, he did not disclose his future political plan. “I will take at least one month to select my next political party,” he replied to a query.

Kailashnath remained BSP’s Yadav face in east UP face. He was in BSP for the last two decades.
