Former Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil says he is recovering well
MUMBAI: Former Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil, who underwent a surgery recently, today said he was recovering well.

Patil, who was discharged on Saturday from the Breach Candy Hospital, said the treatment has been successful and he has been advised a complete rest.

"I will be back in the public life soon and thank supporters and well-wishers for showing concern... Due to the (prescribed) rest, I will not be able to attend the winter session of the state legislature for a few days," the NCP leader said.

He also requested his supporters not to visit him. "I learnt that during my hospitalisation, supporters came to Mumbai to inquire about my health. I am sorry for the trouble caused to them. After the period of rest as advised by doctors ends, I will resume my social and political duties and meet everyone," he added.
