Former FCI Director murder case: Prime witness found dead
The prime witness to the mysterious death of the former director of Food Corporation of India PC Ram was found dead in the regional office of FCI in Guwahati on Saturday.

GUWAHATI: The prime witness to the mysterious death of the former director of Food Corporation of India PC Ram was found dead in the regional office of FCI in Guwahati on Saturday.
The PC Ram abduction and death in 2007 is being investigated by CBI. According to the police, Ram had died in the crossfire between Ulfa militants and police. This case has evoked sharp public reactions in the state.
Rabiram Basumatary was his official driver and only witness to Mr Ram���s abduction from Guwahati. The driver was also abducted along with Mr Ram but was released later.
Police sources said, "Rabiram was found lying in the bathroom of FCI. He was taken to a private nursing home. He was brought dead to the hospital. It appears he committed suicide."
