Patil is likely to contest by-polls on a BJP ticket from ward no. 17, which has fallen vacant after he had joined BSP.

Former BSP leader Dinkar Dharma Patil joins BJP
NASHIK: BSP leader Dinkar Dharma Patil, who contested election from Nashik seat in the recently- concluded general elections has formally joined BJP here, BJP city president Laxman Savaji said.

He was a Congress corporator of ward no. 17 (A) of Nashik Municipal Corporation and had joined BSP before the elections.

Patil, who was defeated by Shiv Sena candidate Hemant Godse in the LS polls, joined BJP yesterday in the presence of party state unit vice-president Dr D S Aher and MLA Girish Mahajan and other party leaders, Savaji said.

Patil is likely to contest by-polls on a BJP ticket from ward no. 17, which has fallen vacant after he had joined BSP. By-polls is likely to be held this month, he added.
