Forest dept brings down home of BJP MLA's aide

In a crackdown on political gangs in Beed, the forest department on Thursday demolished the house of Satish alias Khokya Bhosle which was allegedly built on forest land in the Shirur-Kasar area. The forest department ran a bulldozer on Bhosle's home.

Bhosle, who faces several criminal cases including attempt to murder and hunting protected species of animals like deer, was brought to Beed on Friday morning after his arrest in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. He has been sent to police custody for seven days after being produced in court, officials said. He was recently in the news after a video clip where he was seen brutally beating up a man went viral.

Bhosle is alleged to be close to BJP MLA Suresh Dhas, who ironically has been saying how NCP's Parli MLA Dhananjay Munde has been running a reign of terror in Beed. Munde had to resign as a minister in the Devendra Fadnavis government after the murder of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh.
