Foreign Secretary-level talks with Pakistan should go ahead: Justice Rajinder Sachar
NEW DELHI: The Pathankot terror attack should not be allowed to derail the Indo-Pak foreign secretary-level talks slated for Friday as such a step will only serve the purpose of the terrorists, Former Delhi High Court Chief Justice Rajinder Sachar said today.

He said the talks should not be even postponed, notwithstanding the provocative attack at the Indian Air Force base in Punjab.

" Pakistan's open declaration that it is taking appropriate action on the information supplied by India must be accepted at face value. This is good enough to continue the talks.

"This opportunity, if lost will only help the terrorists in plotting both against Pakistan and India," Justice Sachar said in a statement.

He also held Congress' position against holding the talks as "self-serving".

India has linked the FS-level talks to Islamabad's "prompt and decisive" action in the Pathankot terror attack for which it has provided "actionable intelligence".
