NEW DELHI: Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh led the ' Clean India' campaign at the Ministry of External Affairs by wielding the broom and administering the 'Cleanliness Pledge' to the officials and the staff of the Ministry.

Singh, accompanied by a team of volunteers, conducted inspection at various divisions in the Ministry Headquarters in Jawaharlal Nehru Bhavan (JNB).

Apart from cleanliness, she emphasized the importance of discipline and orderliness in every-day work.

After completing her inspection, she joined other officers of the Ministry in a cleanliness drive in the forecourts of the South Block as well as the area in the vicinity of JNB, including the adjacent lawns of India Gate and National Museum.

The Foreign Secretary exhorted her colleagues to ensure that this drive does not remain a 'one-off' effort and should instead become a part of daily work-routines.
