NEW DELHI: It was another chilly morning in the national capital with the minimum temperature settling at 6.6 degrees Celsius and dense fog delaying 51 trains.

"The minimum temperature recorded this morning was 6.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal. The visibility was less than 800 metres," a MeT official said.

Humidity recorded was 89 per cent, the official added. According to a Northern Railway official, 51 north-bound trains were running behind schedule by several hours due to the poor visibility caused by dense fog in the region.

The weatherman has predicted a clear sky for the rest of the day with the maximum temperature likely to settle at 17 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday, the minimum was recorded at 7.2 degrees Celsius while the maximum had settled at 18.3 degrees Celsius.
