Prime Minister Narendra Modi spent his 74th birthday in Odisha and also marked the completion of 100 days of NDA 3.0 government while launching the Subhadra scheme for welfare of women along with a slew of other projects in the BJP-ruled state.

He underlined that youth, women, poor and farmers have been central to his dispensation's policies.



In his address to the beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana and the schemes aimed at women, Modi said pucca houses have been handed over to more than 30 lakh families across the country from Odisha. Of these, 26 lakh houses have been handed over in rural and 4 lakh in urban areas. He also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth thousands of crores in the state.

Expressing confidence that the aspiration of villagers, downtrodden, Dalits, adivasis, women, youth, and middle-class families will now be fulfilled as a "double-engine" government is in place, Modi said rapid progress has been made in the last few months.


On the achievements during the first 100 days of his third consecutive government, the PM said major decisions have been taken for the welfare of the poor, farmers, youth, and women. Highlighting details, he said the plan to build 3 crore pucca houses for the poor was rolled out while a PM package worth Rs 2 lakh crore for the youth was announced under which the government would cover the first salary of their first job in private companies.

An increase of 75,000 new seats in medical colleges was announced while approval was given to the plan to connect 25,000 villages with pucca roads. The Prime Minister further informed that the budget allocation for the ministry of tribal affairs has almost been doubled, a special project for the development of around 60,000 tribal villages announced, a new pension scheme for government employees was introduced and income tax for professionals, business owners and entrepreneurs has been reduced.
