NEW DELHI: Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley expressed his desire to amend the Negotiable Instruments Act as part of the reforms where the Goods and Services, Tax ( GST) has been accepted as a pillar of such reforms.

Meanwhile, he expressed satisfaction that the Benami Transactions Bill has been introduced in Parliament.

Jaitley lamented that both the Land Bill and the GST Bill had been referred to committees. He said he had been hopeful of passing both in this session of Parliament that ended today.
