This happened when jets were hovering in the skies of Kashmir Valley following the airstrikes carried out by the Indian forces across the border as part of Operation Sindoor.
A local said that he heard a loud bang followed by a thud and something fell near a school in Wuyen village and the explosions followed. The Fire and Emergency team reached the spot to control the fire.
"We don't know what it is. We are yet to get an idea about it, but we heard explosions even after it fell," said a local. The army has cordoned the area and is not allowing any persons to go near the site now.
Meanwhile, heavy exchange of fire has started along the Line of Control in Kupwara district of northern Kashmir. Heavy exchange of fire is going on in Rajouri and Poonch areas of Jammu divison as well.
