Flooded with requests to name buildings after APJ Abdul Kalam: ISRO Director
ISRO has been flooded with requests to name important buildings after Abdul Kalam, who passed away last month, a senior official of the space agency said here today.

"We have received many requests from the public to name important buildings of ISRO after former President Abdul Kalamand these will be considered," S Rakesh, Director, ISRO Propulsion Research Centre at Mahendragiri, said.
Kalam was associated with the Indian Space Research Organisation in its early days.
On the GSLV D6 scheduled launch on August 27, Rakesh saidall work is progressing satisfactorily.
He said ISRO plans to build low cost cryogenic engines in future, using kerosene and liquefied oxygen, with the advice and help of Russia.
He was speaking after inaugurating 'Science 2015' programme here, where students explained their projects.
