Over 58% voters turned up in the five Lok Sabha constituencies of Tezpur, Koliabor, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur in Assam till 2 pm on Monday.

GUWAHATI: Over 58 per cent voters turned up in the five Lok Sabha constituencies of Tezpur, Koliabor, Jorhat, Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur in Assam till 2 pm on Monday

An official in state election office said it is really a healthy trend. "There are reports of long queues in several polling stations."

At least 57.02 per cent of population of the state is voters. Total electorate in the state stood at 1.87 Crore. In last lok Sabha polls the number of electorate stood at 1.74 crore.
