Modelled on 'Paul the Octopus' which had accurately predicted winners during the 2010 Football World Cup, ' Chanakya' the fish today predicted that Trump would triumph in the bitterly contested elections against his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton.
'Chanakya', a floran variety fish swimming in a large fish tank, hit a floating picture of Trump in it's only attempt, indicating him to be the winner.
The event, held by an NGO Indian Community Welfare Organisation (ICWO), was done for awareness of elimination of mosquitoes, the organisers said.
'Chanakya' had earlier correctly predicted that New Zealand will win the first semi-final against South Africa in the last year's cricket World Cup.
However, it had got it wrong while predicting an Indian win in the second semi-final where the M S Dhoni-led team lost to Australia, who went on to be crowned champions after defeating New Zealand in the final.
