Following BJP national vice-President Dilip Ghosh's derogatory comments about West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, two FIRs have been lodged against him at Eco Park and Contai police stations. A eight-member AITC delegation - led by Minister Bratya Basu - meet Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar to apprise him about the issue.

Lok Sabha MP Kakoli Ghosh Dostidar, who was part of the delegation, said, "We met Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar and apprised him about Dilip Ghosh's comment.We demanded action against Ghosh."

Trinamool Minister Bratya Basu, Lok Sabha MP Kakoli Ghoshdastidar, Noyna Bandopadhyay, state general secretary Kunal GhoshMLA Tapas Roy, among others, were part of the Trinamool delegation.


After meeting the Trinamool delegation, Governor tweeted, "Delegation @AITCofficial sought intervention at remarks made against Hon'ble CM was assured of consideration. Indicated to delegation concerns at worrisome Constitutional transgressions, insensitive stance towards human rights and need for working in tandem for public good."

Dilip Ghosh, who was censured recently by BJP central leadership, claimed today, "I have called a thief a thief. Trinamool is a party of corrupt people, thieves and dacoits. Let them understand the power of BJP."
