Firing outside GIP mall in Noida, two injured

Noida: Two persons were injured in a shootout during a robbery attempt outside Great India Palace mall here today, police said.

A guard and an auto driver were injured when four persons opened fire while trying to rob a woman outside Gate number four of the mall situated in Sector 18 here, they said.

While a group of auto drivers present at the scene managed to nab two of the miscreants, two others escaped.

The injured were rushed to a local hospital, police said, adding that a hunt has been launched for the absconding accused.
