FIR lodged against Bihar Congress MLA Siddarth

PATNA: An FIR has been lodged against Congress MLA Siddarth, who represents Bikram seat in the state assembly, on the charge of allegedly kidnapping a minor girl on Thursday.

Confirming the registration of the FIR, Patna SSP Manu Maharaj said the case been lodged against the MLA under section 366-A of the Indian Penal Code. “Police are trying to recover the girl,” the SSP replied to a query. According to him, the girl’s father is complainant in the case. Police are investigating the case.

In a separate incident, police arrested a man Pravesh Rai who allegedly threw a show at the dais where chief minister Nitish Kumar was delivering his speech. However, the shoe could not reach the dais. Pravesh is a native of Samastipur district.
