Local representatives of two television channels reached the Detection and Crime Branch (DCB) office at Gaekwad Haveli here today noon, sources said.
Officials questioned them about what exactly happened after BJP's prime ministerial candidate arrived at a polling booth in Ranip area on April 30, sources said.
The representatives were asked if they were invited by the BJP to cover the happenings or they came on their own to cover the event, they said.
On April 30, the crime branch lodged an FIR against Modi for allegedly addressing a press conference immediately after casting his vote, which was seen as a violation of the Representation of People Act.
Since several television channels had broadcast the event and press conference, a seperate complaint was also been lodged against television channels.
As part of the probe, all news channels present at that time, were asked to give their statement to the DCB, which is expected to record statements of some more news channels in the coming days.
