FIR against former SP MLA Lalji Yadav for beating junior power engineer

SIDDHARTHNAGAR (UP): An FIR has been registered against a former Samajwadi Party MLA and 19 others for allegedly beating a junior engineer of power department here, police said.

An FIR has been lodged at Bansi Police Station here yesterday against 20 persons, including former SP MLA Lalji Yadav, for beating junior engineer RS Pandey during a checking of illegal power connections by a team led by him, police said.

Yadav and others also chased away the team and prevented them from discharging their duties, they said, adding, no arrests have so far been made in this connection.
