FIR against alleged threats to the leaders of Mizoram Bru Displaced People's Forum

On July 3 last year Union home minister, government of Mizoram, Tripura and MBDPF inked an agreement for repatriation of displaced Bru Refugees after almost 22 years.

Guwahati: Mizoram Bru Displaced People's Forum (MBDPF) general secretary Bruno Msha on Sunday filed FIR against alleged threats to the leaders of the organisations.

In the FIR, Msha said that the threatening "Public Notification', fixed in the wall of Rolick Zoramthanga and other places in Naisingpara relief camp, in Tripura on October 5 accused A. Sawibunga, R. Laldawngliana and Msha, president, vice president and general secretary respectively of the MBDPF of receiving Rs 70 crore in cash from the government for signing agreement with the centre on July 3, 2018.

The notification alleged that these leaders are cheating the Bru people and threatened that they must stop all their activities for repatriation if they really wanted to stay with their families without harm."
